to Foxwood Farm Alpacas, located in the heart of
the bluegrass state. Our farm is home to
horses, alpacas, and a multitude of cats and
dogs. We are truly animal lovers through and
through. We welcome you to come visit our humble

Our
Alpacas |
Our
herd consists of richly colored, dense Huacaya alpacas
from both Chilean and Peruvian
bloodlines. We have recently enhanced our
breeding program to include Snowmass
Rembrant, who was carefully selected as a
herdsire at Foxwood Farm because
of his outstanding genetics (son of Peruvian
Chaccu) and his exceptionally fine, crimpy,
lustrous fleece.

Why
We Chose Alpacas |
| Ultimately,
we wanted to have a working farm, but found
ourselves limited on space and time; alpacas were
a smart solution for they do not require huge
amounts of either. Perhaps best of all is
that we do not have to slaughter our livestock to
obtain the end product (fleece). The tax
advantages are certainly an added bonus. Oh,
we must admit we were quite the suckers for those
big brown eyes as well! |
